Water Beds
Have you ever slept on a waterbed? It is quite an experience. The first night is interesting. You toss and turn and swish around. It is like sleeping on an air mattress in a lake all night long.
I think once you get used to a water bed it can be a really good way to go. I don't know how good it is for 2 people to share. Every time you move the other person get's rolled around with the movement of the water.
I had a friend whose older brother had a water bed. We use to go down and jump around on it all the time when he wasn't home. It was a lot of fun. I don't think he would have appreciated it if he had known what we were up to.
I have never seen anyone fill their waterbed up with water. I wonder how much water is takes to fill it up. Can you use hot water or warm water and enjoy a nice warm sleep the first night or are there heaters that keep the water at a warm temperature?
I would think that a water bed would be really hard to move around once you have filled it up. It would be so heavy that once it was full, that would be where it would always stay.
I have always liked to move my furniture around just for a new look. I wouldn't like to always have my bed in the same place. I guess if I wanted a water bed that badly I would have to sacrifice moving my furniture around.
I wonder how fragile the water bed is. I would hate to put a hole in the bed and have water leaking out. I am sure that has happened before. That would be such a drag to have your bed leak all over the floor.
